ICS NSW proudly thanks the Wests Tigers and Western Sydney Wanderers FC for welcoming our students as volunteers at the recent Connection Camp held over the school holidays, bringing young people together from right across Sydney.
Our student volunteers played an active role throughout the event, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a range of activities. From preparing meals and assisting with sport drills to guiding groups on facility tours, students embraced every opportunity to contribute and learn. Their enthusiasm and professionalism were clear standouts.
One of the most memorable aspects of the camp was the chance to meet and work alongside NRL and A‑League stars. For many students, this was an invaluable opportunity to connect with athletes while supporting a program designed to unite young people from diverse backgrounds.
The Connection Camp lived up to its name, fostering a sense of belonging and shared purpose. ICS NSW is grateful for the collaboration with the Wests Tigers and Western Sydney Wanderers FC and looks forward to continuing to create meaningful experiences that empower our students and strengthen our community.
“We are deeply grateful to the Wests Tigers and Western Sydney Wanderers for providing our students with such a meaningful opportunity to learn, serve, and grow. The Connection Camp showcased the power of sport to unite young people from all backgrounds, and our students were proud to contribute to that spirit of community," ICS NSW principal Osman Karolia said.
